The project is all about innovation and creativeness, supported by an ethical approach. Leila and Tom are the focal point and masterminds behind The Unsigned Library. They know the European music industry inside out and have worked there for many years. The product aims to address the needs and problems they came across during their professional work.
Finding a common language for objectively describing music, so that it can be quickly described and then found by the right
people
Providing support, education, and protection for independent music creators throughout the track licensing process
Building a music industry community, where Music Seekers can find the right sound for particular projects delivered by Music Creators or search for job opportunities.
The Unsigned Library had to be designed in a way that it could capture the most precise moods emanating from our production. The perception of music is something very subjective and abstract, and my task was to name those abstract concepts, thus allowing users to find music that matches their needs as precisely as possible.
The details of this product are sharp and highly simplified. Searching for music for a visual production is inherently a simple task, and it was crucial to maintain that simplicity. By retaining only the most essential elements and positioning them thoughtfully, I created a smooth, pleasant, yet inspiring experience when browsing the music catalog.
